An important source of wisdom aside from books, podcasts and people are movies!

Movies give us bitter tears and tears of joy and hope. If we dredge our minds, we will find moments from Hollywood movies that inspired and moved us.

As a leader, you can draw inspiration from movies to become more conscious and self-aware. In a way, all of us are leaders to some extent or capacity.

1) Captain America — Civil War: You can be the greatest leader but without a good team, you won’t get very far. Recruiting the right people is key. A good leader sees the potential and strengths in a potential team member.
2) Any Given Sunday: As leaders, we can help and empower employees to find their own solutions by you giving them the appropriate encouragement and feedback. Help them to grow and become a strong team player.
3) The Internship: The importance of listening to people around you and be ready to learn from others.
4) Rocky Balboa: We need to keep moving forward. An inspirational leader takes the good with the bad, adversity as well as triumph. Try again. This inspires your team to do the same.
5) The Wolf of Wall Street: Inspiring and charismatic leaders can reward employees for their hard work and success — with both your words and your actions.

Bonus movie is The Revenant. Resilience through adversity. The lesson is to expect brutality but know that you’ll overcome it, so long as you’re willing to make the sacrifices.
